When family cannot step in
Your family may live far away, still be working, or simply not be available when you need occasional help.

Community childcare, built on trust
SitCircle gives parents who already know and trust one another a simple way to ask for occasional childcare, offer support, and turn nearby connections into a community they can count on.
The village may already be around you. SitCircle makes it easier to reach.

“I would help if they asked.”
Most parents feel this way. SitCircle makes asking feel normal.
The idea behind SitCircle
Most parents would gladly collect a child, cover an hour, or make space for one more at dinner. But asking can feel awkward, especially when you are far from family, new to a city, or carrying more than anyone can see.
SitCircle makes support visible and mutual. No marketplace of strangers. No complicated favor-tracking. Just a private circle of people you already know, with an easier way to say: I need help, and I can help too.
Who SitCircle is for
SitCircle helps you build support where you live, for the ordinary moments when another trusted parent could make the day easier.
Your family may live far away, still be working, or simply not be available when you need occasional help.
A school pickup, an appointment, a quiet dinner, or a couple of hours to yourself can make the whole week feel more manageable.
The parents you know from school, nursery, your building, or your neighborhood may be willing. SitCircle gives everyone an easier way to ask and offer.
How it works
SitCircle organizes the request. Your group provides the relationship, trust, and care.
Bring together parents you already know from school, nursery, your building, or your neighborhood.
Invite your group into one calm, private place with shared expectations and one coordinator.
Post an occasional childcare request to your circle instead of sending messages one person at a time.
Members can offer to help, you choose what works, and the whole group keeps showing up for one another.
Why I built SitCircle
“Support should not depend on who feels brave enough to ask.”
I kept seeing the same contradiction: parents wanted to help one another, but nobody wanted to be the one who asked.
SitCircle is my attempt to make community support feel normal, reciprocal, and easy to reach for, especially for families building a life away from their own support networks.

Common questions
Including how the exchange stays fair without making tokens the headline.
SitCircle is currently in beta. You can register, create a private circle, or join one using an invitation while we continue improving the experience with our first communities.
No. SitCircle does not match you with strangers or sell childcare. It gives people who already know and trust one another a private place to organize occasional care.
Circles are invitation-only. A coordinator shares a private invite, and approves the people joining so the group remains familiar and trusted.
SitCircle uses simple hour-based tokens behind the scenes. When someone provides care, they earn tokens; when someone receives care, they use them. It keeps support reciprocal over time without money changing hands or parents keeping an awkward mental tally.
It is designed for occasional support: an evening out, a school pickup, an appointment, or a short stretch of breathing room. It is not intended to replace regular childcare.
You do not have to. A healthy circle works across the group and over time. Offer when you genuinely can, and let someone else step in when you cannot.
